As X-Calibears, we’ve played in all kinds of places over the years — from elegant wedding venues to packed after parties and industrial event spaces. But there are a few spots that always stay with us long after the gig is over.
Chamolia
Chamolia feels like one of those places that barely needs decoration because the setting already does all the work. Right by the sea in Vravrona, with an open view of the water and the summer breeze constantly moving through the space, it creates this dreamy atmosphere that’s hard to describe unless you’ve experienced it yourself.
We performed there in a small kiosk setup near the beach, with people dancing right in front of us while the sun slowly disappeared into the sea. It felt intimate but alive at the same time — the kind of wedding where everyone eventually ends up singing together. What really made it special though was the warmth of the people running the restaurant. Everything felt natural, relaxed and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire night flow perfectly.
Agrotikon
Agrotikon is probably the least “expected” place for an after wedding party, and somehow that’s exactly why it works so well. There’s nothing overly polished or forced about it — it’s just pure energy from the moment you walk in.
For us, it’s more than just a venue at this point. It’s one of our go-to places for gigs and honestly feels like home. The crowd there always comes ready to have a good time, which changes everything for a live band. You don’t have to convince anyone to dance or sing along — the atmosphere is already there waiting for you. Every performance ends up turning into a proper celebration, the kind where the line between audience and band slowly disappears.
HUB Events
HUB Events has a completely different energy. The moment you enter the building, you can feel the professionalism behind everything. The industrial-style design, the scale of the venue and the way every event is organized make it one of the most impressive places we’ve performed in.
What makes it even more important to us is the history we have with it. HUB Events is where we started performing under the name X-Calibears, so there’s an emotional connection we can’t really separate from the venue itself. Every time we go back, it reminds us of the very beginning — the first gigs, the first crowds, the first moments where the project started feeling real. Some venues are just venues. This one became part of the band’s story.
